Marketing Secrets: Blogging Strategies Revealed

If there is one thing that I have learned about Internet Marketing it's this... People Don’t Join Businesses, They Join People. Again, they join PEOPLE, not BUSINESSES, I can not say that strongly enough. Becoming a leader in on-line marketing requires a lot of things, however, personal branding is probably one of the most important.



I have a couple mentors, and one in particular, is Vince Reed. I joined NetDivvy, my current marketing company, because I believe Vince is one of the most honest and caring people on the internet. And that is the type of people I want to associate with.



What in the world does that have to do with blogging? Well, blogging is the perfect way to brand yourself to others. It allows you to let others know that you care about them and want to help them. Think of it as a personal journal of what you think about a subject, product, or life in general. You are personally branding yourself to people. With blogging, and branding yourself, you are teaching others how to market, you are sharing your strategies. It is all part of letting people know what makes you as a marketer tick. Blogging is the perfect way to do that.



When blogging, here are a few sites to consider:



1. Blogger.com

2. Word Press.org

3. Squidoo.com

4. Hubpages.com

5. Omegi.com



When blogging here are a few rules to consider...



• Be Consistent. I can't stress enough how important it is to try to write an article at least once a week. More would be better, but just make sure you do it regularly.



• Offer Value. Make sure that you have something worthwhile to say. Give training tips and your thoughts on what ever business or profession you are in. Choose a company or a person and give an honest analysis of the company or person.



• Stay Positive. Do not berate or put down other companies or people. Use the old saying... "If you can’t say something good, don’t say anything at all."



• Use Keywords to Create Backlinks to your blog and the search engines. There is a free program out there called, "OnlyWire". Only Wire will broadcast your blog to all the social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook. This will help tremendously with back linking.



• Make sure you Check your Spelling and Grammar so you don’t look uneducated.
